About Us

Doug Hehn is Founder and Managing Partner of Cascadia Packaging Group.  He began his career designing protective packaging in the Electronics Industry.  Expanding his role beyond design, he lead the integration of Environmental Packaging and Sustainability strategies into Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing organizations in the Aerospace and Heavy Truck Industries.  This strategic approach has resulted in packaging cost reductions greater than $15 Million and over 60% reduction in packaging waste benefiting both the bottom line and the environment.


Today as Managing Partner of Cascadia Packaging Group, Doug leverages over 25 years experience in a variety of roles including Sales, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Packaging Engineering delivering strategic solutions to our customers.


He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Packaging,  at Michigan State University.  Doug is an active member in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound (CAMPS) and also the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP).  Additionally, he is a member of the Transportation and Logistics Management Advisory Board at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

Keri Bernstein is a Senior Packaging Consultant supporting Cascadia Packaging Group clients. She is a Packaging Engineer with over 10 years of retail and industrial experience. Keri specializes in designing packaging structure—the right size, design, and materials for each specific application—and has led cross-functional, global teams in developing and executing packaging and point-of-purchase displays for consumer products. Her core skills include problem-solving, project coordination, marketing, design, and training.


She has extensive experience designing and testing new packaging for various consumer and industrial products including Leatherman tools, LED Lenser flashlights, Lensbaby camera lens, Pella windows, TREX decking, Coors beer and Syngenta agricultural chemicals. Whether you aim to solve existing packaging issues or create a new design, she can help you meet your packaging needs from start to finish.


Keri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Keri is an active member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) and is a board member for the local chapter in the Pacific Northwest. Keri became a Certified Packaging Professional in 2006, awarded by the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
